Delete your account

Before you start: cancel your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a Maintencify Pro subscription, because it is billed by Apple or Google. To stop future charges, cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.

Option 1: in the app

1. Open Maintencify and sign in.
2. Go to the Settings tab.
3. Under Account, tap Delete Account.
4. Type DELETE, tap Delete my account and confirm.

Your account and its data are deleted immediately.

Option 2: by email

If you no longer have the app, email support@maintencify.com with the subject “Delete my account”, from the email address you use for Maintencify. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, include the relay address shown in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple. We may ask you to confirm the request, and we will delete your account within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your account: email address, username, password hash and sign-in provider link
• Your profile photo
• Every device you added, with its maintenance plans, tasks, notes and completion history
• Your reminder settings, scheduled reminders and push notification tokens

If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Maintencify’s access to your Apple Account.

What is kept, and for how long

• Database backups, which are deleted automatically within 30 days.
• Server logs, for no longer than 30 days.
• Subscription and purchase records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires and as needed to handle refunds and disputes.
• Cached device lookup results and maintenance plans, which are not linked to your account and contain no personal details.
